Level-5 organized a little demo event for Shirokishi Monogatari: Inishie no Kodou (aka White Knight Chronicles) today and Famitsu has a detailed write-up of the event (which is called “Shirokishi Monogatari Secret Party” and only 100 gamers were selected to attend), especially what Level-5 president Akihiro Hino, has to say about the game.

Besides introducing the key elements of the game, he also shared the concept behind the game. He explained that since his company is also developing Dragon Quest IX at the same time, he felt it is pointless to make two games with the same concept. So for Shirokishi Monogatari, he decided to based on his personal favorite setting, a hero who can transform to his stronger self in a fantasy world. One of the major announcements at the event is the launch of the Web Manga called “Shirokishi Monogatari: Episode 0 – Doguma Senki”. The 9-page manga is currently available for free at the game’s official website and it appears to talk about events that are happening 10,000 years before Inishie no Kodou.
