Trinity Zill O’ll Zero: New Characters And Growth System Screens

Originally set for release in Japan next month, Trinity Zill O’ll Zero is Dynasty Warriors‘ developers Omega Force’s upcoming ARPG based on the series known for its Free Scenario System. The game is now TBA in Japan (a US version titled Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll has not been dated) but it can only means good things for title as it can avoid the Q1 RPG madness that we’re in now and also give the developers more time for polishing. I have great interest in the game’s world and it’s character design, so let’s take a look at the latest info based on the two latest Famitsu reports.
Character: Selene
The only girl character in your party has weaker attack but is extremely good at making use of her quick body movements and setting up traps to make things difficult for her enemies. Two such traps are Ivy Magic Stone (above left) which restrict enemy’s movement while Poison Magic Stone (second from left) lets you ermm… poison them. Although her melee attacks are much weaker than other characters, they can sometimes activate special effects like “Sureibu” (third from left) that turn opponents into “Break” condition. Her ranged attack is using the flying blades (above right).
Character: Regu

Regu (above right) wields the Dual Swords and is good at both attacking and defending. He has no respect for weaker warriors and will do anything to make sure he is the strongest guy around by challenging others in the world’s only coliseum in the Free City Riverdam.
Character: Dagda
Another character who is good at both attacking and defending, Dagda obviously possesses great powers especially with attacks such as Heavy Punch (above left), Raging Upper (second from left), Protective Ball (third from left) and Throw (above right).
Character: Xenetes

The playboy of the game is an adventurer who is fighting for some kind of prize money.
Soul

As your character gain more experience in the game, he/she will earn Skill Points that can be used to learn Magic or Action. The kind of Magic or Action that each character can learn will be based on his/her Soul (above), which is basically their job class.
Skills
Skill Points can be used to learn Skills like Fireball (above left), Firewall and Thunderball. These Skills can be upgraded too, such as the Level 3 Fireball above right, which is more powerful and covers wider area. However, each character can only equip four Skills.
Party Attack
You will be controlling one of the three characters during battles but by co-operating with one of the CPU-controlled character, you will be able to unleash more powerful attacks. Some of the Party Attack Selene can activate with other characters are shown above.
