Sony To Consider White Knight Chronicles In Chinese

SCET (Sony Computer Entertainment Taiwan) had a little event in Taipei last weekend promoting PS3 with a couple of games and Blu-ray titles. Chinese gaming site HiNet spoke to Sony representatives at the event and insist that Level-5’s highly anticipated RPG Shirokishi Monogatari (White Knight Chronicles is the official English title) be published in Chinese as well. The representatives merely promised to reflect the idea to SCEJ but with Afrika, Aquanaut’s Holiday and The Last Guy confirmed to have Chinese version recently and the fact that Microsoft is getting plenty of rep for aggressively translating their big titles to Chinese, I think this is highly possible.
I would prefer an English version but if the Chinese version came out simultaneously with the Japanese release, I will happily support SCET. However, Sony’s speed of getting Chinese version done isn’t exactly fast. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in Chinese only came out three months after the Japanese release and we will only see Hakuna Matata (silly new name of Afrika for Asia) and Aquanaut’s Holiday end of this year. So it’s actually closer to English release than Japanese which make it pointless for someone like me who just can’t wait.
