Just watched the live action version of the anime again last week so it’s nice to know that this week’s Weekly Famitsu magazine has news that Initial D is indeed coming to PS3, confirming the Play-Asia.com listing earlier. Details are scarce for Initial D Extreme Stage, except that the game is said to received a major next-gen upgrade, will be rendered with “Real Time Watercolor Shading” technology, online play and to feature the “Nationwide Battle” mode of Initial D Arcade Stage 4. The series’ main rival, Wangan Midnight has its own PS3 game out last year in Japan. Initial D Extreme Stage is coming out May 29th in Japan.
