Cross Edge First Screens
The first images out of the Weekly Famitsu’s report finally arrives on the mag’s website. I have a huge interest in Cross Edge, a collaboration between Compile Heart, Idea Factory, Gust, Capcom, NIS and Bandai Namco, thanks mostly to the characters involved (more on that after the cut) and the cool visuals. Let’s take a look at the game and what Disgaea’s Prinny has to do in this RPG, which is schedule for September this year in Japan.

Kannagi Yuto (left) and Aiba Mikoto are original characters designed to lead the game. Kannagi is a problem kid with plenty of complaints. He is good at Ju Jitsu and martial arts but prefers shooting, the Weekly Famitsu article shows him carrying a gun. On the other hand, Aiba lost her parent at young age and Kannagi’s parent adopted her.

Characters from Capcom’s Vampire Chronicles series, they are Morrigan, Felicia and Demitri.

Characters from Bandai Namco’s Ar tonelico series, they are Aurica, Misha and Shurelia.

Characters from Gust’s Mana-Khemia and Atelier series, they are Lilie, Rozeluxe and Marie.

Etna and Prinny from NIS Disgaea series and Meu from Idea Factory’s Spectral Soul series.

The game is set in Underworld, where the characters from Disgaea and Vampire Chronicles live, and Fantasy World, where the Ar tonelico and Atelier characters stay.

A party can has up to four members and battles are turn-based. When it is the turn of a particular character, players can launch his/her special skill with the face button.

The main objective of the game is to free souls stuck in the wrong world back to their own world. When this is achieved, a character can obtain “Form” change, which allows him/her to get new armors or gain extra abilities.
