Ar tonelico III: Characters Reveal & Talking Matter

Ten days to go before it’s Japanese release, Bandai Namco shares more info on Gust’s grand looking RPG Ar tonelico III: Sekai Shuuen no Hikigane wa Shoujo no Uta ga Hajiku. Cocona-Vatel (above, view character art here), who apparently have a big following in Japan after her appearance in the previous game, will “travel” to the world of Ar tonelico III to hand over a crystal to a character named Harvester.
Sasya, Katena & Mute

A couple of supporting characters and a tough (and weird) looking enemy were introduced in this report. Like Cocona, Sasya (above) is another character from Metafalss of the previous game and possess great knowledge on synthesizing. She works in an abandoned factory in Arkia and will also appear in the Cosmosphere of the other girls but she will be a tough sales girl selling items at high price.
Katena (below, second from left) is good friend of our hero Aoto and Hikari Gojyou since their days in Arkia Institue and specialize in making medical for the Reyvateil girls. Mute (below, second from right) has extreme strength, as shown by her body size and muscles, and has received an order to arrest Saki, a battle with Aoto seems inevitable. Despite her looks, she is apparently a very “pure” girl.
Upgrade
There are hotels and camps in the game that allow players to recover their characters’ HP. They can also talk with the ladies here or create items with synthesizing.

Talk Matter: Visiting towns and dungeons will give players Talk Matter, this will become the topic to discuss with your girl friends. It can also be used to talk privately with one of the girl at night (like the screen above)… As reported before, having good relations with your girl friends can reveals their alternate version, which can be a character with completely different attitude.

Image Synthesizing: Create your items or finishing skills by combining two different materials. Ar tonelico III will be released in Japan on January 28th, pre-order is available at Play-Asia for $68.90.
